Alex is an experienced Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) professional with extensive expertise in federal defence, security, law enforcement, and immigration organizations, including the Department of National Defence (DND), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRBC). He specializes in managing complex ATIP requests related to domestic and international military operations and law enforcement investigations ranging in severity, providing strategic guidance on legislative compliance, records severance, and information disclosure. With a strong background in operationally sensitive environments, Alex has developed subject matter expertise in ATIP governance, investigative and intelligence-related disclosure, stakeholder engagement, and executive-level collaboration. As a former dedicated public service professional and a current Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) primary reserve member, Alex combines analytical expertise, operational awareness, and leadership experience developed through both civilian and military service.
